The Appointments - Trump's Swamp

Romney does not have a lot of foreign affairs experience, but who among Trump's candidates does?  Regardless he would be much more consistent and level than most Trumpites.

However, who would want to be in Trump's cabinet knowing that you will be second guessed by Bannon and that he and Trump may contradict something you said or did.

Biggest issue would be to work hard to negotiate something and then have Trump blow it to hell with a 3:00 AM Tweet.

LOL. Yeah.

How about Mica for Secretary of State? She must have learned something from her father.

Fox News scroll stated that Haley became "notorious" for "electing" to remove Confederate flags from state buildings in S.C.

Notorious implies famous for a bad thing.

She didn't "elect," she recommended to legislature that the remove one flag - one flying on state house grounds.

Well from the view of most Trump supporters in S.C. isn't removal of the flag a bad thing?

E.g. I assume the alt-right didn't approve of her actions.

"Seven days may not be enough time to fully assess any new leader, especially in the case of Trump, whose first week was marked by seeming chaos in his efforts to put together an Administration. But what we’ve learned so far about the least-experienced President-elect in history is as troubling and ominous as his critics have feared.

The Greeks have a word for the emerging Trump Administration: kakistocracy. The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as a “government by the least qualified or most unprincipled citizens.” Webster’s is simpler: “government by the worst people.”

She might have a difficult time with a Republican primary. Far more than the alt-right didn't approve of it.  She has won in the past on being Tea Party supported (Palin came to state to campaign for her), very anti-union and very pro-corportation.  Also anti-tax.

American poet James Russell Lowell used the term in 1876, in a letter to Joel Benton, writing,

"What fills me with doubt and dismay is the degradation of the moral tone. Is it or is it not a result of Democracy? Is ours a 'government of the people by the people for the people,' or a Kakistocracy rather, for the benefit of knaves at the cost of fools?"

Latest appointments foretell cuts to Medicare and Medicaid as well as repealing ACA.

One of major situations for the new Sec. of Defense will be to reduce the massive costs for TRICARE and retirement.

Same for new Sec. of Veterans Affairs.

Get ready for it.

In 2018 if the Dems can get their act together,  elect moderate pols in purple and red states, and the majority of Americans are against such cuts,   this can be a pathway to regaining power in Congress.
