America would be safer with a ban on resentful, lonely young white men.

I’m 99% sure they have committed more mass casualty events than Muslims since Trump took office.

Sorry princess, I know you did not say this, you were just copying a tweet. Where did these guys come from? Over on reddit there are MGTOWs, (used to be) incels, etc. Apparently these guys can't get a date with a 10/10 and are mad about it. I should say that the MGTOWs are different. They don't like "modern woman" or "modern marriage" and have decided to shun both, yet all they do is talk about women! Where did this trend come from? Dating sites and online porn and thus more awareness that these 10/10 women are out there? Used to be you only knew of the people you came in contact with. Now, with the internet, you can see the whole wide world. I feel sorry for some of them. Apparently some are short, or small, many due to ethnicity, and women do generally not find such men desireable.

There was a long discussion on Kos about the Subway incident. Some posters started

to talk about their favorite sub places and that they are much tastier than Subway.

That upset other people because they thought it took away from the topic of racial

discrimination. Blimpie and Jersey Mike's are ten times better than Subway as far

as sandwiches go.

People do tend to  look at any situation on a personal level as to how it affects them --rather than how it affects someone else.

Well, frankly there can be a nasty person working in any franchise shop anywhere. The McDonald's around here are owned by local people, but I suppose they have some kind of contract about the image of the name in the shop excetera.

So much of the kind of people that you have working in a franchise and even the quality of a franchise depends on the local environment.

In the case of Subway, they have a bad situation already PR wise with their spokesperson turning out to be a pedophile. They don't need any more bad publicity.

But every fast food dog has its day and Subway probably has had theirs and around here they've over estimated the interest and are going to have to start probably close some shops anyway.

I used to laugh when people were saying they were going to eat there because it was a healthy option. They should rename their franchise Sodium Subway.

Yep, I think Subway may have over-expanded and food preferences change too. My closest Subway

is in a corner of the gas station/convenience store. I get a sandwich from there every once in a while.

Not bad, but not as good as the other ones I mentioned. Their cookies are pretty good though.

That's a big part of what the internet is all about. Someone mentions a relative who died and then

everyone chimes in with their death of a relative story.

American culture is all about the individual. When I was living in South Korea, I really got a chance to see how different a culture not about the individual was.

Wonder if that will change as the market system starts to increase the importance

of individualism.

Ed Begley's racist rant in Twelve Angry Men

To the credit of most of his fellow jurors in this 1957 film they separate themselves from him with this rant in disgust. I wonder how many jurors in America would do that today?

Some trump supporters are already 100% with the Ed Begley character's way of thinking--

specifically  concerning Muslims and Latino immigrants.

This film is actually taught in some schools to demonstrate critical thinking.

When I see Henry Fonda in this movie, I always think about what a fine actor he was.

Yet, this was the kind of man he was and the kind of character he had.

What's really tragic about this whole crime is that while she was attacking this elderly man,

several adult men stopped to join her--instead of trying to stop her.

Well, I believe the meaning of ignorant is not knowing.

Unfortunately individuals who don't know the truth about the history of America or  the truth about world history or world civilizations do tend to be ignorant.

White supremacy comes from this ignorance.

What you don't know can definitely hurt you.

But there is a world of difference in public schools in different states. She grew up and was educated in Montana and she couldn't believe how much stricter the standards were and the quality of education was in New York State
