Trump vs. the Press/Media

Trump tells reporters aboard AF1 he wants AG Sessions to investigate who wrote @NYTimes op-ed, via @jeffmason1

Sarah Sanders tells me Trump's "concerned that someone is trying to undermine the executive branch and he wants it looked at.”

When I asked what law the White House alleges the op-ed author has broken, Sanders couldn’t identify one and pointed out she’s not a lawyer.

"Dammit Jim, I heard the ghost of Pierre Salinger say that Sanders wasn't much of a White House Press Secretary either." LMREO

Obama telling the truth about his media criticism versus Trump's criticism: "I complained plenty about Fox News, but you never heard me threaten to shut them down, or call them enemies of the people."

When trump calls  the media, the press the enemy of the people, what he's really saying is he is against the First Amendment.

What he's really saying is that he's an enemy of the US Constitution.

Barack Obama launched his midterm campaigning Friday at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, arguing that Donald Trump poses such a threat to America that it forced him to speak out in an unprecedented way for a former president

Obama took the rare step of invoking President Trump’s name as he warned that his successor has fueled racial tensions and fear-mongering, bringing the nation to a “pivotal” moment

Obama has been reserved and infrequent in his public commentary during Trump's presidency, but he's returning to the fray with pointed words on a variety of Trump-related issues.

The BBC World News led with Barack Obama tonight.

Obama finally kicks Trump's ***.

The world has been informed.

Behind Trump's obsession with social media suppression

Advisers have encouraged the president's view that Silicon Valley giants are part of a wide-ranging liberal campaign to undermine his presidency.

..... Trump has come to view his supposed mistreatment at the hands of Silicon Valley as emblematic of a wide-reaching campaign to undermine his presidency, according to a half dozen current and former administration officials and others close to the White House. ....

Trump is amplifying for maximum potency a more nuanced idea already coursing through the conservative ecosystem – just as he’s cast the press as an “enemy of the people” and dismissed NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality.

“What President Trump is an expert at is gauging what his supporters care about,” said Andy Surabian, a Republican strategist and former White House aide. “This issue has really risen up – on par with issues like immigration, judges and the Second Amendment – in terms of issues that Trump supporters care about.”....

The president’s embrace of anti-Silicon Valley rhetoric has been shaped by advisers who see it as the latest front in the country’s long-running culture wars and believe it has the potential to rally conservative voters ahead of the midterms and the president’s own reelection............

Meantime, Trump's critics see considerable irony in the fact that Twitter's most powerful user is complaining about bias when it has long been his preferred venue to tend to his grievances before an audience of more than 50 million....

I wonder if some of these jokers know an election is coming up?   That is why Obama is making those comments about Trump.

After The White House claimed for more than a year that Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were making up stories and creating fictional sources, here they are watching President Richard Nixon resign on television.

God bless great journalism and great journalists.

EXCLUSIVE: Rosenstein discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to oust Trump in the days after Comey was fired in May 2017. Rosenstein also discussed wearing a wire to secretly record his conversations with Trump. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/21/us/politics/rod-rosenstein-wear-wire-25th-amendment.html

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The New York Times is being played.

Someone in the White House leaked this to them so Trump would have an excuse to fire Rosenstein and replace him with someone who will obstruct the Mueller investigation.

Y'all let yourselves be used. Just like in 2016.

Trump/surrogates have been sitting on the Rosenstein (non)story, waiting to use it for a time like now,

when they're FRANTIC about Kavanaugh & the midterms.

The real question in my mind though, is why is the NYT doing Trumps bidding?

-like the "anonymous" OP-ED

doesn't tell us anything really NEW & just feeds TrumpWorld's 'deep-state' delusion?!

(when world leaders laughed at President Trump yesterday at the UN, Fox decided to manipulate the video for its viewers)

 Fake News--

It's no wonder people who watch Fox seems so stupid and misinformed.

Fox can't even give them one straightforward speech by a president that they're supporting.

They're afraid of showing people the truth. That's how they brainwash them.
