If I were on the TCM Guest Programmer spot my top 4 choices would be based on a central theme: controversy. The films are: Fritz the Cat (1972), Akira (1988), Monty Python's The Life of Brian (1979), and UHF (1989). Or an alternative list that would focus on films that are forgotten: Night on the Galactic Railroad (1985), Bugsy Malone (1976), Peyton Place (1957), On the Beach (1959).

You clicked "confused" by my old post regarding this statement of yours. I'm not sure what was confusing about it.

You state here that you would program a night of "controversial" films. I asked in what way Akira or UHF were/are controversial. Your second list is supposedly of movies that are forgotten. I mentioned that I had not, in fact, heard of the first one you mention (Night on the Galactic Railroad), but the others on your list couldn't really be considered forgotten films since they show up on TV and are readily available on home video formats.

I was just testing out the features that were updated on the TCM message board. That was all. I didn't mean to make it problematic or not.
