if you like this Woody Guthrie song you're bound to like " Old Man Trump".

It's about the post World War II  government sponsored apartment complex which Fred Trump built for World War II veterans. But Woody Guthrie lived in that complex and found out that black  War II veterans were not allowed to rent there.

As a result he wrote a scathing criticism of Fred Trump and his racism.

" I suppose old man Trump knows just how much racial hate he stirred up in the blood pot of human hearts when he drew that color line"

Anyone who wants to hear the whole song can find it on YouTube by the Missin' Cousins with a medley starting with Woody Guthrie's "I ain't got no home / old man Trump.

Now that's a real forgotten oldie. LMREO

"I'm your only friend,

I'm not your only friend,

but I'm a little glowing friend,

but really I'm not actually your friend,

but I am."

Ranks up there with "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" and "Particle Man"

Woah - that one guy sure has put on the prodigious. Maybe they should have taken Johnny Fever's directive to "lose the Indian". Great tunes, though.

Where is that oldie forgotten, Gersh? Czech Republic?

It's "My baby" from the Russian group "Hands Up!" (Ruki Vverh!) It's about a soldier who suspects his woman is cheating on him.

I loved 'Time Has Come Today', Joe. Really grooved on it when it was on the charts.

Unfortunately, it got some rather spooky and predominant use in the 1988 horror flick 'Bad Dreams'. That movie really creeped me out and sullied my memory of a great piece of psychedelia.
