Damn....KIDS!   :D

Most of 'em probably think THIS "B" side of Eddie Cochran's "Three Steps To Heaven"('60) is a ROD STEWART "original"!

:D should really read:  "Shorty"!  ;)

...Or THIS, not a Steve Miller tune---

or this an original by The Searchers....  ;)

ECCCHHH.....

Anyway, back to "forgotten oldies" that were either both "forgotten" or too, "mistaken originals"....

Like these two( one of their "two-sided hits" releases) that many Beatles "freaks" either lately forgot about, or then( and still) thought WERE Lennon/McCartney compositions!

Pressed in '64, I just can't recall which was the "A" side and which the "B".  ;)

And truly, Beatles fan though I was( still am) I liked THESE guys' version better!  ;)

"Slow Down" was on the "A" side of the 45 for The Beatles.

The best version of "Slow Down" is the original record by the rock and roll Pioneer who wrote the song himself, Larry Williams.

After all, The Beatles couldn't have copied it if they hadn't heard Larry Williams In the first place. LOL

Larry also wrote a terrific song that they covered on the VI album, " Bad Boy Jr, Behave Yourself".
