Trump Is Not a Legitimate President

Haha I love the news report that phones & electronics will now be banned on certain flights....

Can't wait until Trump tries that here. No way can any American separate themselves for two seconds from that teat.

ANY American? It's time for me to move to New Zealand.

Time to stop teaching that bigoted American taliban religious HS to our kids.  The world would benefit from it.  If they had started sooner there may have been hope for even you.   More tolerance, not less!  With one exception - don't tolerate the intolerant.

An international team of scientists have found it possible to simultaneously decrease a person's faith in God and to increase their tolerance of immigrants by using trancranial magnetic stimulation to substantially reduce activity in the posterior medial frontal cortex.

"Here, we experimentally demonstrate that a region of the brain previously shown to enable problem solving with respect to low-level conflicts, ... plays a central role in investment in ideological beliefs."

It is not clear that there could not be a new election called if Trump was ousted ...

WE are in uncharted territory.

We survived the assassination of President Kennedy, the resignation of Vice President Agnew and the resignation of President Nixon.

I don't think what's coming up would be any more difficult than any one of those things.

Our Constitution is strong and will hold up.

There is a call for a Constitutional Convention.

Trump may be right.  Duterte is not such a bad guy.  Turns out he was quite instrumental in getting the approval of Trump Tower in Manilla.  Ivanka was over there not long ago.

I mean really.

such ugly desperation.

picking on a young mother of three.

Ma Barker was the proud mother of four sons.

Al Capone had one son.

Anybody can have children--having children doesn't put you in any special category in terms of your character. Just ask any foster care department in any state in America.

Just to cut Ma Barker a break. There is no evidence she actually

participated in any of the crimes of her sons. Yes, she knew what

they were up to and kept things going on the home front, but she

was no criminal mastermind. As a gangster who knew her said,

She couldn't plan breakfast, much less a crime. Old J. Edgar

had to come up with an excuse for why they shot a 61 year old

woman and so the legend of Ma Barker the deadly criminal genius

was born.

Next you'll be telling me that Eliot Ness never met Al Capone. LOL

I get all my gangster history from The Untouchables--there's usually a kernel or a grain of Truth in it. But the Ma Barker Story had to be tailored to suit Claire Trevor and she was wonderful in it.

Not all gangsters live up to their legends and Ma Barker was certainly in that category. But in today's terminology, we would just say that she was a very big enabler to the criminality of her four sons, if not an accessory.

Yes, if she had been charged, she likely would have been charged as an

accomplice or an accessory, but that was about as far as her role went.

Her actual biography has been blown totally out of proportion, which is

nothing new for a movie or a TV show. I would guess that most experts

would call Alvin Karpis the brains behind the gang. I remember reading

one description of Ma Barker as just an old hillbilly woman who enjoyed

jigsaw puzzles (or was it crossword puzzles. I don't remember).

There's a very good book, Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI by Bryan Burroughs, that I recommend. It's the best single book on the subject, and wades through all of the legendary hyperbole about those criminals and gangs to get at the actual truth. Ma Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, Baby Face Nelson, John Dillinger, and Bonnie & Clyde all get covered. The Dillinger sections served as the basis for the 2009 movie Public Enemies with Johnny Depp as Dillinger, but the book was much better.

I have that book. Well written and detailed. I think of all the well known 1930s

criminals, Ma Barker was the one most hyped up, her actual story being much

exaggerated. The caption to her photo contains the description I paraphrased

before. It actually is "A cranky old hillbilly consumed with jigsaw puzzles,..." The

only thing I didn't like about the book is that it is arranged chronologically and

so it jumps from one public enemy to another and then back again, making it

a bit hard to follow.

Never saw that episode, but I doubt it had much

in common with the actual Ma Barker, which is

okay as it's only a TV show.

"In Beijing, China, President Trump’s son-in-law and close advisor Jared Kushner’s sister, Nicole Kushner, was busted hawking E-B5 visas to wealthy Chinese businessmen in exchange for investments into the Kushner 1 real estate project in New Jersey....

....the Washington Post reporters were chased out of the building by security, being told that “this is not the story we want” – an open admission that what was transpiring within that ballroom was the literal definition of corruption.....

This came the day after Trump signed the provision for this into law.  Don't tell me that there is not collusion to make billions from the office.  Apparently they were suggesting to the Chinese by pictures and verbal inferences that there would be access to the WH with investment.
