The Miserable Legacy of Barack Obama

Figured out  how Wilson kept us out of WWI for a couple of years.  1200 rounds = don't bother me with foreign entanglements.

After Trump attack, Lockheed Martin slashes F-35 cost

Defense giant Lockheed Martin has agreed to sell 90 new F-35 fighter jets to the US Defense Department for $8.5 billion -- a deal that amounts to more than $700 million in savings over the last batch of aircraft delivered.

Lockheed Martin credited President Donald Trump for helping to "accelerate negotiations" and "drive down the price" of what is already the most expensive weapons program in history.

The cost of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program found itself in Trump's crosshairs on several occasions in recent weeks and Trump called for a review of whether a modified version of the older F/A-18 aircraft could replace the Navy's costly F-35 variant.

****************************************************************
If Obama was still President we would have paid a trillion dollars more, and he would have gone golfing to celebrate. This is why Trump was elected, he knows how to handle finances.

Yep, Donny knows finances. That's why he had

to pay out $25 million in his fake university lawsuit.

Ex-convict commuted by Obama arrested on drug charge

A 68-year-old San Antonio man whose life prison sentence was commuted by President Barack Obama is back in jail after authorities say he crashed his car into another vehicle while fleeing from officers following a drug deal.

A federal magistrate judge on Friday ordered Robert Gill held without bail pending a hearing later this month.

Another Obama inmate release has been busted. It's not the first, and it won't be the last.

if Gill had killed anybody...than barack obama would have been responsible as well as morally culpable.

I must disagree with the thread title.

there ain't nothing miserable about that house with the nine bathrooms the obamas now call home.

Mr. Podesta, who lives two doors from the house the Obamas will rent, invites neighbors for pizza parties in his backyard, where he has a pizza oven. Several times a day, a line of parked taxis snakes down the street, their occupants drawn to the Islamic Center on the block for Muslim prayers.

Dum da dum dum. A conspiracy double dip.

actually, I think obama has a perfect right to enrich himself. when he first ran one of the first things I heard from the msm about him was that he coulda made a fortune for himself as a lawyer but selflessly decided to community organize.

of course!

he knew that politics would lead to the same result.

Everyone has the right to prosperity, Obama, Trump and the rest of us.  It's those who's goal is to destroy it.  Even though I disagree with Obama on some policies, I do wish him a long, healthy, prosperous life. His wife Michelle seems to be doing better, net worth estimated around 11.8 million while Obama is worth 7 million.  He's 438% richer before he ran for office.

Trump said he won't accept the presidential salary, only want's a dollar.

Well if they want to blow the chance at rehabilitation, so be it.

Quote...

Obama wrote in a signed notification that he granted Gill’s application “because you have demonstrated the potential to turn your life around. … Now it is up to you to make the most of this opportunity.”

Guess not.

Nope. though if I were living in a great old mansion I wouldn't want

neighbors that close. And Donny did have the advantage of having

a multimillionaire father. That can't hurt. I guess Podesta really likes

pizza, and sometimes pizza is just pizza.

barack-obama-crying-tear-tears.jpg

Actually, one of the times I recall seeing Obama cry was over gun violence in America. You remember, don't you, MM, the increased gun regulations that he tried to impose blocked by politicians in the back pockets of the NRA, the same NRA that supported Donald Trump during the election.

To me, this is the image of a compassionate man crying for those innocent victims needlessly gunned downed on the streets and in the schools of America.

Obama's final tally: 333 rounds of golf as POTUS

Barack Obama exited the White House Friday, and thus ended his two terms in office.

The 44th president often spent his leisure and vacation time on the golf course, especially during his second term in office.

According to CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama played 333 rounds as president. Obama's last round came on December 31 while on vacation in Hawaii. Knoller tweeted it was Obama's 46th round of his final year in office.

**************************************************************

Obama wasted 333 days playing golf, and wonders why he never got anything done, why the economy kept getting worse. He was as bad at being a President as he was a golfer.

Trump beats Obama and Bush in race to the golf course

President Barack Obama made it four months into his presidency before his first golf outing as commander in chief. George W. Bush made it even longer, first hitting the links as president about 5 ½ months into his first term.

Donald Trump made it two weeks before heading to the golf course.

Isn't his estate in West Palm Beach next to a golf course?      If that is the case he was just playing in his own backyard.

Obama’s disapproval rating rose much faster than Trump’s in the first few weeks

If we compare the first stretch of Trump’s presidency with that of Obama’s (thank you, Internet Archive), you can see that the net change in each rating from Jan. 23 on is about the same for each. (Net change meaning we’re taking the value on Jan. 23 and subtracting it from subsequent days.) Trump’s approval rating dipped by about the same number of percentage points as Obama’s; his disapproval ratings increased by about the same amount.

If we look at the net job approval — the percent viewing the president positively minus those viewing him negatively — Trump had a nine-point dip. Obama, over the same period, had his net approval drop by 14 points.

One moral here is the same one we should always take away from polling: Day-to-day fluctuations can be misleading. But another is also important. History can be informative, if you choose to look.

*********************************************************************

Obama started off very badly, and it only got worse from there. He wasted eight years and trillions of dollars, leaving Trump with a big mess to clean up.

Unlike past presidents, Trump can afford to hire those to clean up the mess. ;)

Obama's party-building legacy splits Democrats

A painful Democratic rift over Barack Obama’s political legacy is finally bursting into the open.

For years, the former president’s popularity among Democrats stifled any public critiques of his stewardship of the party — a period in which the party suffered tremendous losses at the state and local levels.

But now that Obama and the political operation that succeeded his campaign, Organizing For Action, have expressed interest in playing a role in the task of rebuilding, it’s sparking pitched debates over how much blame he deserves for the gradual hollowing out of a party that now has less control of state-elected positions than at any other time in nearly a century.

While Obama has taken some responsibility for the party’s down-ballot failures — Democrats now have unified control over just six states, and 10 fewer governorships than when he took office, while Republicans have taken over the U.S. House and the Senate — his political allies have made clear that he hopes to help the Democratic comeback through his involvement with a redistricting effort. And the groups around him, like OFA, intend to play a role when it comes to organizing, recruiting candidates and training activists.

**********************************************************************

Obama was the worst President in U.S. history, he ran this country into the ground for 8 years and left a big mess for Trump to clean up. He never worked with others, except when he played golf 333 times, almost an entire year of golf! His legacy is 20 trillion dollars of debt and nothing to show for it.

Donny's Gallup poll has him at 40% favorable. Before Obama

left office he was ten points higher. When Obama came into

office the UE rate was over 7 %, now it's down to 4.8%. Obama

left Trump with a much better economy then he inherited from

Dumbya.

Obama 12th best president, Lincoln first, Clinton 15th: Historians

Just weeks after returning to civilian life, former president Barack Obama was rated the 12th best U.S. president, while Abraham Lincoln, another president who made his political bones in Illinois, retains the top position.

That's according to a poll of 91 historians rating presidential leadership conducted by C-SPAN ahead of Monday's President's Day holiday. They noted that Obama entered the top rankings for the first time, having not been rated during its last survey in 2009.

"Opinions very"

When President Obama was re-elected as President he could have laid hold of MLK "I have a Dream" speech and claim victory over racism. He could of told the Congressional Black Caucus to also claim victory and to become the Congress of the USA. Now this is not to say racism would be gone but that his renewal and decisive victory at the polls had a grand significance of historic value, so much so that his standing and the support of the American people should not go by without showing this great accomplishment.

But, yes But, President Obama did not have the answers on race!, it was a stumbling block for him.

New Poll: Trump Approval Rating Increases

Rasmussen Reports, in its daily tracking poll on Thursday, found that 55 percent of likely voters in the United States approve of the job Trump is doing.

The poll found that 45 percent of voters disapprove.

The poll, which has a 2.5 percent margin of error and a 95 percent level of confidence, comes as Trump assailed CNN and other mainstream media outlets.

Obama's approval rating was high because people approved of him leaving office.
