MARION DAVIES / Summer Under the Stars

3 posts in this topic

August 29 will see six count them six MARION DAVIES silent films in an all-day tribute.

Along with THE RED MILL, THE PATSY and SHOW PEOPLE will be my productions of ENCHANTMENT and THE BRIDE'S PLAY as well as Ben Model's newly restored WHEN KNIGHTHOOD WAS IN FLOWER, which will receive its TCM/TV premiere.

The latter film was the #1 box office hit of 1922, a mega-hit that established MARION DAVIES as a major star and sealed the deal for her to join the newly organized MGM, where she would remain for a decade.
