Good job with the original post. It's nice to see those Universal films he made in the 50s included. THUNDER BAY is a rare one. And I'm glad HARVEY is airing again.

My favourite Jimmy Stewart film is the screwball comedy he made with Claudette Colbert (IT'S A WONDERFUL WORLD), I swear by my eye!

It's a shame that IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE couldn't be screened, since it's not December when NBC traditionally airs it. Also, I'm surprised the RKO comedy MAGIC TOWN wasn't included. It aired in January for Jane Wyman's tribute.

Well gosh darn it everybody. That sure is swell news and I'm sure that if Jimmy was alive today, besides being very old, he would also be honoured. Golly! What a swell honor!

I think THE MOUNTAIN ROAD is airing on November 22nd. COME LIVE WITH ME and ON OUR MERRY WAY are in the Turner library so those turn up fairly often. BROKEN ARROW is a Fox film but it is in the public domain; it airs often on the Encore Westerns Channel. NEXT TIME WE LOVE is probably the rarest, hardest-to-find film on this list. Someone uploaded a nice print of it on YouTube earlier this year but I just checked and it's been taken down.

True, THE MOUNTAIN ROAD is airing on the 22nd. Thanks for catching that.

Hopefully one day TCM will get to present NEXT TIME WE LOVE.

Yes I hope so too.

If anything gets bumped, I can see COME LIVE WITH ME used to replace it.

When was the last time James Stewart was SOTM?  It has to have been quite a while ago.

It's his third time. Previous turns as Star of the Month: May 1996 and December 2004.

He's had many Summer Under the Stars tributes: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011, and 2014.

I'm sorry that "Broken Arrow" will not be shown.  It's a lovely film and Jimmy Stewart (and Jeff Chandler) are fine in it.  Poor Debra Paget.  She doesn't have half as much chemistry with Stewart as Chandler does!

This is going to be an excellent month. I'd have to say Mr. Stewart is my favorite actor if I could only pick one. I'm glad to see there's still a few I haven't seen, and a few I've seen too many times.

A national TV programming service named Universal Kids might have this movie in their programming on the Friday of the twenty-fourth day of this November (based on the listings for it in the guides to their programming from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide on the World Wide Web).
