Thanks Barton. A shame that DIAMOND HORSESHOE was dropped. It's the title I most eagerly anticipated seeing. THE DOLLY SISTERS has aired on TCM before, and it's fine. But still.

Yeah, I was sort of half expecting DIAMOND HORSESHOE to be dropped from the schedule, but it's disappointing nonetheless. Maybe one day..

I wish they had included more films outside their usual library of choices. A whole night of Fox, Paramount or Republic musicals. Republic did some good ones in the 40s, like EARL CARROLL VANITIES and EARL CARROLL SKETCHBOOK. They would have been perfect for this spotlight.

Michael Feinstein was in studio for TCM today, recording wraparounds for the December 2017 Spotlight on the American Songbook.
