True, but a man who drones on and on about it (like SOME people I could name) becomes tiresome.

Aw, c'mon. I drone on and on about lots of stuff.

It's worse now.

It's weird how many people - even "confirmed bachelors" - keep misconstruing what Men Going Their Own Way is.

It's not hate. It's saying "no".

That's all it is - deciding to keep one's independence and resources and not risking them on a marriage that has less than a 4% chance of lasting.

First marriages, statistically, have a 96.4% chance of failing within 10 years.

And in a system of almost totally feminist law, that percentage is screaming a warning to men. More and more are hearing it - and those who count on the old ball and chain ways are getting pretty upset about that.

Baloney.

Statistics for American marriages:

What are the chances your first marriage will end in separation or divorce?

You may have heard that "50% of marriages end in divorce." This isn't actually true - but if you also count marriages that end in legal separation, it’s not that far off either.

  • 20% end within 5 years.
  • 32% end within 10 years.
  • 40% end within 15 years.
  • 48% end within 20 years.

After 3 years of separation, Caucasian women are much more likely (87%) to divorce than are Hispanic women (64%) and African American women (60%).

What are the chances your second marriage will end in separation or divorce?

Second marriages have a much lower rate of success than first marriages.

  • 10% end within 1 year.
  • 31% end within 5 years.
  • 46% end within 10 years.

Is there a better chance for success when living together?

Many people used to think that living together before marriage greatly increased the odds of divorce. However, recent divorce statistics suggest that cohabitation won't have a major effect on marriage failure if the cohabitors are engaged. Among women aged 15-44:

  • 29% of marriages that begin without cohabitation fail within 10 years
  • 33% of marriages that begin with cohabitation and engagement fail within 10 years
  • 39% of marriages that begin with cohabitation but without engagement fail within 10 years

So much to disagree with here. First, if you think of your wife as or call her  "the old ball and chain" then yes, she'll eventually leave.

"It's not hate it's saying no". - Well, you seem to say no a great deal. From every mountain top. Is anybody trying to stop you from saying no??  PLEASE go your own way.

You say it's not hate, yet a quick perusal of the MGTOW reddit thread shows this post labeled "

The Fact That Women Still Complain About Household Chores with the Technology Available in The 21st Century Has To Be The Best Self-Incriminating Evidence For Them Being Lazy Sacks Of Sh** And Parasites

Nah, that's not hateful now is it??? I could find many more, quite easily, but you get the drift.

I don't read reddit.

Anyway, it's called red pill rage. It's a stage men go through when they've finally realized the entire social structure is now based upon women having all the legal rights in a marriage - even in a common-law marriage.

All mgtow men are doing when they talk about it is venting their rage and warning other men about what can happen to them. They'll get past the red pill rage stage eventually, but if they're wise they'll retain their new-found knowledge of female nature forever.

Most women hate that. The last thing they want is for men to start understanding them.
