According to the imdb this is a French documentary in the English language.  Just thought we would like to know.  Sounds interesting.

A Better Tomorrow will seem terribly dated to today's viewers, but it's hard to overstate what a profound impact it had on the crime and action genres in the years after it's release. The complicated plot concerns undercover cops and dangerous gangsters, with members of both groups changing affiliations during the film's runtime. This marked a watershed film for director John Woo. Along with his subsequent films Bullet in the HeadThe Killer and Hard Boiled, the look, pacing and choreography of the action genre was forever altered, with their balletic slow-motion gun fights, too-cool stylish heroes and villains, and atmospheric production design. The action frequently stretches credibility, with the resultant drama seeming to take place in an alternate, hyper-stylized universe where physics and human behavior don't quite work the way they do in the real world. Chow Yun-fat had been a Hong Kong star for many years, but was best known for his comedy and romantic roles. Although this wasn't his first action film, it would make him a major superstar throughout Asia, rivaling any of the other Chinese matinee idols of that era like Jackie Chan or Tony Leung Ka-fai. Both Chow Yun-fat and John Woo would be lured to Hollywood in the 1990's, and while they both met with some success, nothing they did rivaled the work that they accomplished together in Hong Kong.
