It's been a while.  That line is from "Life Upon The Wicked Stage" from "Show Boat".  In the 1951 film version. the line was changed to "I've got talent, but it ain't been tested".

The thread is open.

There's a Rising Moon..Doris Day from Young at Heart   ?

Yes! One of the beautiful, and almost forgotten original songs from Young at Heart by Sammy Fain and Paul Francis Webster.

Great Work, Shutoo!

That's Let's K-nock K-nees sung by Betty Grable and Edward Everett Horton in The Gay Divorcee.

"When you're near I feel so let's play housey,

Oh you make me feel so Mickey Mousy"...

definitely sounds better sung than read ...

your thread, starliteyes!

This was just on TCM yesterday and when I heard Phil Silvers singing this I got excited-- "That's IT!" No idea what the song is called but it's in COVER GIRL :)

Good enough, Lonesome.  I caught it when it was on, too!  Sometimes I can't get that tune out of my head.  It's called Who's Complaining?, words and music by Jerome Kern & Ira Gershwin.

You're up next.
