Humorous short about "the modern house"

2 posts in this topic

I turned on TCM early this morning (5:45AM EST) and watched the remainder of one of those goofy "educational" shorts from the 1950's (or maybe very early 1960's) about the modern house. Most of the scenes involved a man trying to do simple things in his house (open a desk drawer, insert a leaf into a dining room table, etc.) with humorous consequences. One of the last scenes had records flying out of a turntable that was inserted into the wall. I have checked the schedule on the TCM website and have even googled things like "humorous 1950's film about house of the future", but cannot find any info on it. Does anyone know what short I am speaking of? I would really like to find out the title of it so I can try and watch the parts that I missed, as I enjoyed what I saw!
