1920's

This one wasn't to difficult to choose. 1927 saw the release of my two favorite silent films, Lang's Metropolis and Gance's Napoleon, as well as The Cat and the CanaryThe End of St. PetersburgThe Kid BrotherThe King of KingsThe LodgerSunrise, 7th HeavenWings, and The Unknown.

1930's

This one was also a no-brainer for me. 1939 has the reputation for being the pinnacle of the Golden Age for a reason: Gone with the WindThe Wizard of OzMr. Smith Goes to WashingtonStagecoachGunga DinDestry Rides AgainThe Roaring TwentiesThe Hunchback of Notre DameThe Rules of the GameOnly Angels Have WingsSon of FrankensteinDark VictoryWuthering HeightsJesse JamesBeau GesteEach Dawn I DieThe Four FeathersGoodbye Mr. ChipsLove AffairOf Mice and MenNinotchka, and Le Jour se Leve.

1940's

This one was a little tougher to choose, but I settled on 1941, thanks to The Maltese FalconCitizen KaneThe Wolf ManSergeant York, Here Comes Mr. JordanSullivan's TravelsBall of FireThe Devil & Daniel WebsterHow Green Was My ValleyThe Lady EveThe Little FoxesThe Devil and Miss Jones49th ParallelDumboHigh SierraHold Back the DawnMeet John DoeSuspicion, and The Sea Wolf.
