Speaking of #michaelcohen threats (#StormyDaniels), here is what then-Daily Beast (now npr) reporter @timkmak says he rec’vd from Cohen while writing a piece on DT’s divorce:

If you work for a bully you become a bully.

Sounds like Stormy Daniels is getting the same treatment from Cohen.

All the President’s Thugs via @NYTimes Editorial Board “We live at a time when a porn star displays more credibility and class than a president,—and we seriously wonder just how thuggish the man in the Oval Office is. It seems like a bad dream”

Stephanie Clifford, the actress known as Stormy Daniels, being interviewed by Anderson Cooper for “60 Minutes.”

"All the President's Thugs"-- it has a ring to it, doesn't it?

This is the stupidest lawyer in the history of the world. I, unfortunately, have had all too much contact with lawyers that IMPLY this. But not one - because they had triple digit IQs I assume - ever said it or PUT IT IN PRINT. Because this is a nice thing for your attorney to read aloud in court to the judge, who now also knows that you are the stupidest lawyer in the history of the world. And that does have an effect on outcomes. What good lawyers do is imply this and then in a more friendly  tone tell you what they want, which sounds much better than their initial IMPLIED threats. Implied stick, then the carrot.

Stormy Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, is going after Trump relentlessly, taunting him in interviews, baiting him with tweets and putting him on notice that he wants to depose him.

The Judge in the case just ruled against this.  Stormy just got screwed by Trump again.

Even the anti-Trump CNN lawyers said what Avenatti was trying to do was bogus and unnecessary.   Again, the only possible crime here is use of campaign funds and that falls under Mueller.

Really,  how has Daniels been harmed?   Sales of her videos and money from public appearances are at an all time high.

No,  I got the play on words.    In fact it appears Daniels has been screwed more by Trump in the last year, than she was back when they had their affair.

I would like to see Cohen nailed on a campaign finance violation.   That guy is a real scumbag.

According to Michael Cohen's attorney the story goes that Stormy's attorney approached Cohen with an offer to silence Stormy for $130,000.  Cohen, without talking to Trump decided to make the payment.  This type of agreement happens every day according to Cohen's attorney.  And everyone says Stormy is lying about the affair but Cohen paid her anyway.  Oh, and it had nothing to do with the election which was less than two weeks away.

Hmmm .... If I phoned Cohen and said that I once had a homosexual affair with Donald Trump would he pay me $130,000 too to keep quiet without checking to see if it had any validity?  He must have a big home equity account.

Stormy's attorney approaching Cohen makes sense to me:  I just don't see Cohen trying to reach out to all the women Trump had sex with before he started running for President, especially months before the election.

But the payoff if there was no sex makes zero sense.    Clearly the the reason for the payoff was due to the election but proving that would be difficult based on what I read since the payoff could have been just to prevent his family from embarrassment.    I.e. for the government to prove the motive for a payoff is hard to do.

How would Cohen know if this Stormy story had any merit, let alone enough to deserve $130k without talking to Donald Trump about it?  Why are they lying about these fundamentals?

I didn't say Cohen didn't discuss this with Trump,  but that it would be difficult to prove the payoff was to directly benefit  his campaign since it takes understanding the operations of what goes on in someone's head.    Unless there is some physical evidence,  like a recording of conversation or Cohen telling Stormy why he was paying her off,   all we have is speculation as the to the 'why' for the payoff and speculation doesn't get one beyond a reasonable doubt.

Anyhow,  like I said, there are much bigger concerns like Russian influence,  use of his position to increase his family's wealth,  shady business dealings etc...    I just don't think Stormy will be the storm that sinks Trump.

We will vigorously oppose the just-filed motion by DJT and MC to have this case decided in a private arbitration, in a private conf room, hidden from the American public. This is a democracy and this matter should be decided in an open court of law owned by the people. #sunlight

The only time Trump looks muscular, powerful or in control is in PhotoShopped cartoon images. In reality, Trump has the cartoon mentality of a 5th grader playing dress-up.

This story really doesn't need to go any further, we already knew this- of course Trump sees prostitutes, no woman would conjugate with him without being paid for it. Knowing he expected offspring from any of his wives, a truly wise woman would make darn sure it was by artificial insemination. His 5th grader ego could have been easily persuaded by declaring top racehorses are bred via artificial insemination.

We very much look forward to testing the truthfulness of Mr. Trump's feigned lack of knowledge concerning the $130k payment as stated on Air Force One. As history teaches us, it is one thing to deceive the press and quite another to do so under oath. #searchforthetruth #basta
