So should I start a poll as to whether or not I should just quit my job?  By my count there are eighteen to twenty can't miss entire days so why pretend I am interested in even having a job.

I requested Sudden Fear for 8 years and Johnny Guitar for about 5 years, took forever but yes, they both finally showed up. Just keep requesting the films you want to see, if TCM can, they will obtain and show the films.

Next on my list to request...>>Belmondo<<   :D

It would be great to have a French New Wave month, but that's another thread, another board...

This year's schedule has a lot of variety. And I probably said it earlier, but I am very glad they gave Dorothy Malone a day. She's never been honored on TCM before.

This was probably my favorite day so far. I recorded Welcome Danger and some other films I hadn't seen before.

Good for you. That's the beauty of these 24 hour marathons. You really get a sense of their careers and some of the highlights...why these stars were so popular with audiences.

Thank you TCM programmers and Backlot members for a great roster of artists and films this year!

Might I kindly suggest these five choices for 2019:

Lee Van Cleef (so many great spaghetti westerns)
Sally Field (a good selection of post-code films in a variety of genres)
Robert Young (he's never had a Summer Under the Stars tribute)
Spring Byington (one of the studio era's best character actresses)
Dead End Kids & Bowery Boys (why not have a "group" star?)

My 2019 nominees are Robert Donat, Jean Seberg, Louis Calhern, Aline MacMahon and (like your group-star idea) the Carry-On crew
