I did the original post and I would like to stick to real places as opposed to fictional.

(states, cities, landmarks, directions: <--- N, S, E, W--->, countries)

OK? Bg

Got it.

The Wyoming Kid (1947)

...And I suppose you realize that, if this continues into other cycles, it will come to a stop soon

(at the letters Q, X and Z for instance) if you do not permit the use of repetitions.

Uh, still trying to get the system straight. The Xanadu of the movie is a legendary place,

like unto Shangra-la, Bali Hai or Valhalla, but the title is acceptable because there is a podunk

crossroads burg in Fla. by that name, right? (per MapQuest)

Oh, by the way...

Lost in Yonkers (1993)

It isn't a fictional location.

It was the summer home of Kublai Khan's(1215-1294), the leader of the Mongol

Empire.

It was known as Xanadu, Shangdu,Zanadue, or Shang-tu. Marco Polo visited

Kublai Khan there.

Hope that helps. :)

I had some vague idea about this but I will say it's remarkable the info you can pick up just lurking around the TCM boards. ;)

I will do one last reply with a place at the very end of the A - Z list. I am keeping my literal interpetation from my first 2 replies.

Zanzibar (1940)

Hows that for an ending?
