I wrote to them. I even entered an alternate email and they didn't send it to that one either!!!  I am bereft of possible solutions until I go to the Festival and see if there's someone there I can speak with directly.

I am only able to get the attention of a moderator the hard way, getting into a nasty rumble with another member. Maybe you could go on the 2019 cruise and back good ol' Ben up against the railing. Don't think he would want to hear, "Host Overboard!"

When TCM switched to an email "now playing" guide I was one of the first to sign up for it as I subscribed to the "now playing" magazine for several years. It took 3-4 months and several inquiries before I finally began receiving the "now playing" guide thru the email. I received it for a number of months but it stopped again. I haven't received it for about 3 months. I've given up. Have other TCM members had this problem?  I don't have any more incentive to keep trying to receive it so I just browse the schedule for the month and write down any films of special significance that I want to view.

There is a greater chance that those who do receive it will continue to contribute to this thread.  In other words, there is a greater chance that at least one person who receives it will post it here, instead of everyone receiving it and on time.   So as long as this thread continues...

The worst thing TCM ever did was to drop the paper version of the Now Playing Guide. That was my bible. Now, sometimes I get the e-mail guide, sometimes I don't. So, sometimes I watch movies on TCM, and sometimes I don't.....................

I don't pay any attention to the guide myself. As a result, I also watch less TCM.

Do some of you check your spam folders, and/or whitelisting the sender's email address so it doesn't go to the spam folder?

It would be obvious to me if it were in my spam folder but it's never there. I don't know what whitelisting is. So I'll have to look that up.

No, it is never in spam. If it comes, it is in my inbox. Otherwise, it just doesn't come at all. In fact, the mid-month update hasn't shown up either, this month.......

I also didn't receive my October Now Playing email.  Nor did I receive the Oct 15th reissue.  However, a friend did forward his, but still....

"Whitelisting" is an industry standard term that means always allowing a sender's email to come through.  It is the opposite of "blacklisting," which does the opposite.  Different apps call whitelisting/blacklisting differently: trusted sender list, safe sender list, blocked sender list, etc., or it could simply be called "filter."  ALL email apps (although not on all platforms), as far as I know, have to have whitelisting and blacklisting features because these are pretty much industry standard features.

One thing we need to watch out for is that a sender could change his or her email address.  Your email app would then treat it as a new, unknown entity and may treat its emails as spam.  So you would have to whitelist it all over again.

Whitelisting is not always used or preferred because a sender's email address could be "spoofed" (i.e. faked).

Finally! I got the NPG for November.

I cancelled mine, so maybe it went to you.?

The email doesn't help me remember to watch or record anything, so I just use the daily guide here, and still forget to watch or record stuff.

Well, if that's the case!  Thanks!

I saw there was going to be a tribute to the late Mary Carlisle on Nov. 15th. (Though they misspelled her last name in the little ad.) Things like that I find interesting. If I didn't see that how would I know? Plus I like to save them so I have something to refer back to if need be.
