Recycled dialogue

Did anyone catch the recycled dialogue from For Me and My Gal that was used in Easter Parade?

"Why didn't you tell me I was in love with you?"

Loved that it was said to Judy Garland both times.

I've noticed several parallels in the films.  Glad I'm not imagining it.

Do you think that may have been because the script was originally intended for Judy Garland and Gene Kelly.  It has been a long time since I saw The Barclays of Broadway, but I remember thinking that some of Ginger's lines seemed to be written for Garland.

I was seeing parallels between  Me and My Gal and Easter Parade, but now you have me needing to watch Barclays of Broadway while I'm on this crazy musical ride to see if there is a possible Garland hat trick.
