Steve Reeves  looks great in the rain...

Reportedly, Steve Reeves performed nude at private parties at George Cukor's house.

And, reportedly, he spilled over with his usual enthusiam.

Mr. Cukor's guests would fall to the floor in a collective act of hero worship.

Can you imagine if there was film of that performance?

I looked Kirk Morris up.

He was born and raised in Italy.

He was a university student who had a keen interest in bodybuilding.

He auditioned for the director of his first film.

He actually made twenty films.

Where do I get the boxed set?

Kirk Morris is one of my faves. He'd be an exceptionally handsome guy even without the muscles, which can't be said of all the peplum guys. 'Dorable.

Reg Park was Mr. Universe three times!

Mr Park was probably the manliest of the Hercules- he was a big inspiration for young Arnold Schwarzenegger

Flawless....beautiful skin and body, like sculpted marble.

I've really got to track this one down because it looks so fun. Did anyone else catch a distinct Barbarella vibe in the set design and the music? (The girl imprisoned in the rock specifically, but also the just-believable-enough-but-still-tacky monster.) I wonder if any of the same people worked on both films, since both were done in Europe. Anyway, Bravo, Mr. Park.

I know that there is a boxed set of these films - about 50, in all - but I don't think that the prints are any good.
