*CANDIDS*

2,215 posts in this topic

Today begins a new thread titled *CANDIDS* which will feature vintage pictures of movie stars.

The vaiety of images will include publicity shots, at home, on the beach, with famly, on the town, on the set, dating, also cheesecake and beefcake, etc.

I hope and trust that members of the board will enjoy it.

Thank you, Sarah. It's good to see Natalie Wood laughing. The size of your picture is just right, anything larger will distort the thread.

Gary does look like his mind is elsewhere, ha! But Claudette's expression looks pretty clear. :P

Thank you, coopsgirl. The Clara Bow picture is a knockout.

Perhaps in the future you could reduce a picture such as the size of

"The Thin Man" image prior to posting. Thanks.

She doesn't look amazed to me. But maybe it's just me.

She looks annoyed. There is another photo like that, where they are sitting next to each other.

gagman, that's a swell picture that you posted.

I should point out that the couple are the beautiful

Greta Garbo and her lover John Gilbert.

I was going to say that she looked a little freaked out, but maybe she was just annoyed.

Hi Mongo.....

I'm enjoying these pictures very much.....It's just Great to see Robert Mitchum,

in a 'Oh - So - Homemaker' Environment, complete with kitchen, food preparation

and surrounded by children...how wholesome is that ???...away from the 'street-savvy' look.

I had just seen a movie with Robert Mitchum, not too long ago, with his actual son,

who played his younger brother....I believe it was the little boy with the dark hair

standing by his shoulder....the name of the movie evades me, though.

And thats a Beautiful picture of Greta Garbo & John Gilbert....

I had just seen movie clips of of them in a "A Woman of Affairs" 1928,

in another Thread: "Seeking Copy of Hollywood Revue: 1929,

thanks to Gagman66.

Great Pics . . . .Thanks for Sharing !!

Thank you, Ugaarte. It's good to know that you are enjoying the pictures.

The movie with Mitchum and his son Jim was most likely "Thunder Road" (1958)
