Happy Land needs a DVD release

4 posts in this topic

Just watched a wonderful movie, Happy Land, starring Don Ameche, the great Harry Carey, Ann Rutherford and even Darla Hood and Dickie Moore. What a beautiful film showing how families coped with loss during World War II. Surprised to see this film has never had a home release of any kind and that is terrible considering the junk that makes it on to DVD today. This film, although somewhat dated can still be seen as relevent today and needs to be seen. Anyone agree? Please get this released.

I take it you caught it on Fox Movie Channel? I just recorded it myself today, but haven't had a chance to watch yet. I'll try and post after I have seen it.

Yes I did, had never seen it before but was sceptical because of the title so did not record it. What a mistake. If you like movies like All my Sons and Mrs. Miniver you should like this. I can`t believe its never even been on VHS. I will be curious to hear your thoughts.
