this young lady had a
remarkable voice..she hit above high C which is quite a compliment
she starred in another film with boris karloff...she made only 12 films
the actor's initials are L. O.
she had a fine operatic voice..could hit above high C
movie had the word "music" in title
Susanna Foster and Lynne Overman: There's Magic in Music
correct...want to post one?
It's Gary Cooper, and since he's dressed like a hobo, I'd say it's from MEET JOHN DOE. His sidekick in that picture was Walter Brennan.
nope ...try again
Is it from "Dallas" - 1950?
no try again
film described as "capraesque"
not too many where coop is dressed like that
made in 1940s
Metz, this looks familiar.- Is it Good Sam?- he's out drinking...(Gary Cooper)

apology in ordwer ..photo too small to identify
yes i know its an easy one ..the hard ones are not easy to discover
ok time for the experts to name the movie
FRED C DOBBS??
Looks like Gloria Swanson to me. Maybe as Sadie?
I can hear "St. Louie Woman" on her victrola. I can
hear the rain outside the hotel. And I can feel the
oppressive heat and humidity.
correcto mr. Dobbs..as usual ..want a cigar?
No thanks. I'm trying to quit smoking.
I just lucked out on that one. At first I had no idea. Then I decided to study the details in the photo.
Phonograph, bangles, unhappy dame all made up... doh. For a while I forgot about her version of the "Rain" play. This is the same play the gangsters go to see in "Scarface" (1931). It must have been a big hit back in those days.
I have a working theory about you. Please indulge me.
Maybe I watched too many Twilight Zone episodes the last few days but... I believe you've been around for hundreds of years. I think you've seen every movie ever made..when they were originally released. How else could one person retain so much knowledge? Come on, 'fess up. You're among friends.
