Anne of the Indies (1951)

Has anyone here seen this? I was surprised by the wonderful performances of Jean Peters as the merciless sea captain and the deceiving prisoner Louis Jourdan. Herbert Marshall was fantastic as well, lending to a sympathetic character. They really kept me on the edge of my seat as the story unfolded. Great film depiction of pirate battles at sea.

"Anne of the Indies" was recently shown on either FMC or AMC. This takes me back to my childhood. I remember so well the first time I saw it. I just loved it. It was good to see Debra Paget and Louis Jourdan together again, after they made "Bird of Paradise." It's a fun movie.

Terrence.
