My favorite train flick is the British drama SLEEPING CAR TO TRIESTE (1948). It takes place on the Orient Express, and feels a lot like a movie Hitchcock would've directed if he hadn't gone to America. 

And speaking of Hitch's period in Britain there's always THE LADY VANISHES (1938) with half of the story taking place on board a train.
