Just a "special mention" to all the young boys who played so beautifully in Francois Trufffaut's "Les Mistons" ("The Brats") -

It's a British film about the friendship between a Catholic boy and a Jewish girl. The cast also includes such veterans as Dame Sybil Thorndike and Finlay Currie.

She's had quite a film career.

I was waiting for her "Sweet Bird of Youth" to arrive in New York.

But, unfortunately, it only made it to Chicago.

Great play. Remember when Liz Taylor did a made-for-TV version with Mark Harmon.

Thelonius Bernard became a dentist.

Yet, he lives on as one of the stars of one of the sweetest movies ever made.

I believe she was the youngest out of all the girls who have done it on-screen. I was always impressed with her performance in Disney's version of the inspirational true story. She was so little, but she did a great job in my opinion, and I don't think enough people talk about her version.

Ivan Jandl in The Search.  One of the best performances I've ever seen by a child actor.  And the Czechoslovakian government would not let him come to America to get his Oscar, nor would they ever let him make another American movie.  Pretty much destroyed any possible career he would ever have.  A really sad story.  Search%2B2.jpg

Who can forget that sweet little boy in Mrs. Miniver?  I understand he didn't have much of a film career and had died recently an elderly man in his 70's.  I am unable to get his name.

I loved the Toby character. He was played by Christopher Severn according to IMDB

Butch Jenkins had such a unique personality. I think he's my favorite of the MGM child stars. The others were a bit too affected, especially in crying scenes. But Butch came across natural and real. Dean Stockwell is a close second.
