Though I found this satire funny,
I Actually think that SansFin's gentle poke at humour (posted link a few pages back) actually "nailed it" much better... ;)

If that explanation has earned me the right to poke fun at Canada:

And I say that with all due humiliation, being born an "American" (United Statesian) and all.
And wishing more and more every day that I could lay that claim to Canada.

I realize fully that I may be taking a position which will be ridiculed but I will state openly that it would have been far easier for me to establish in Canada but I believe I made the correct move by selecting United States.

And now for MY reply to Stephan's above comment here...

Naaah, dude. MUCH too damn COLD up that-a-way for THIS ol' fellow South Bay boy!

Sure, Canada is a great country full of nice people and lovely scenery, among many other attributes, but ya sure as hell CAN'T ride motorcycles OR play tennis OUTDOORS all year long like ya can down THIS-a-way.

(...yeah, that's right Sans, tennis...a REAL sport...one that's based on athletic ability!!!) ;)

LOL

I guess we'll never know for sure.

But you'd certainly have been welcome here. We have a great many Ukrainians in Canada - second only to Ukraine itself.

It is my understanding that they are very welcoming and supportive of other immigrés. The government seems to have also a better attitude towards people from Ukraine than the United States does. That is why I stated that it would have been easier for me if I had chosen Canada.
