You're right. They should allow Donald Trump to talk about climate change for 7 hours, too. That would be comedy gold.

They should get Trump to explain to the public why he listed climate change as a factor in the possible erosion of land at his golf course in Scotland. See him explain that one.

Donald Trumo couldn’t do it for 7 minutes.  Possibly somewhere between 7 and 70 SECONDS; I’d bet on the lesser!

I notice that no one on the left ever addresses why the new ice age that was predicted in the 1970s by the same kind of liberal climatologists never occurred.

was their empirical data incorrect?

and yet they afford no one who disagrees the willingness to debate.

What they don't realize it's not the simple consumption of fossil fuels but the manufacturing of the majority of products they use without thinking how or where it's made.  The manufacturing process has solid, liquid and gas byproducts that generally is released into the ecosystem. Yes pollution has to be midigated but can never be completely eliminated.  How many smartphones and VIDEO games are produced each year, the oil that is required to make the plastic itself?

Have a thought, since video games are not required for human survival, why not STOP making them altogether followed by other unneeded items i.e. toys and see how fast the little know-it-alls change their tune.  Be crying for mama!

All they stuff THEY received, purchased and THEN discarded throughout their life to that point, did it factor into their little minds the impact it has?

Most young people don't purchase physical copies of video games, and haven't done so for years. The business has been moving toward digital downloads and/or cloud gaming for a while now.

So their "little minds" are ahead of yours, apparently.

Maybe try actually saying that in your post next time.

And that doesn't make your counter argument any less moronic.

They are the one's PROTESTING about the use of fossil fuels and plastic. I'm stating FACT!  Look around your house and count everything made of plastic.

The manufacturing of this creates pollution in some form. Can you live without it?

Don't forget about modems, network hubs, receiver boxes.

I think the climate protesters want those things to be made in a more environmentally-friendly way, not to get rid of them entirely.

It's moronic because you seemingly think that these young people protesting are unaware that traditional plastics come from oil. My guess is that most if not all of them are aware of it, and that it is part of what they are protesting. When an alternative to plastic can be found, they prefer it. But they need to be made available, affordable, and feasible over the long term. Plant-based plastics are a promising alternative(look up Xyleco for more info, and look for the 60 minutes clip about the company).

The idea that to support a better environment and work towards curbing climate change means all people must immediately stop using all fossil-fuel related products is disingenuous, silly, naive, and yes, even moronic.

so it's "OMG!...they're gonna take away all the Gasoline & Plastics".....

just as realistic as "Look out..... they're gonna take away your GUNS!!"

& let's not forget the 'hordes of caravans of gangs, drug dealers & rapists'....

all fear-mongering <_<
