need halp with a mnemonic

2 posts in this topic

Hallo! Oddball trivia/reference request here. I need strings of three or four 'entertainment names'. To wit:

  • Larry, Curly, Moe
  • Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Darla, Spanky
  • Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Zeppo
  • Fred & Ginger (why does Gene not have a Ginger?)
  • Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice
  • Ricky, Lucy, Fred, Ethel
  • Ralph, Alice, Ed, Trixie
  • Archie, Betty, Moose, Veronica

The ideal configuration is any four-name string which matches the start of the Western alphabet. A,B,C,D.

For instance, 'Abbott' & 'Costello' ...but this lacks two and they're not in order. (In a pinch, I can accept A-C-B-D).

Motive: let's say I need random seeds for cryptographic purposes! Or a crossword, or ...imagine anything you wish to infer! ;)

Thank ye kindly just the same...

I can't think of any that would fit ABCD..

but: Ethel, John, and Lionel (Barrymores)

Al, Harry and Jimmy (Ritz bros)

Lola, Priscilla and Rosemary (Lane sisters)

you can get an abc from the Brady Bunch..Alice, Bobby, Cindy..but I wouldn't call them a trio..

and there's Andy, Barney, Clara.....Emmett, Floyd, Goober..but no D in Mayberry...except Daphne ('fun girls') and she wasn't in town very often...
