Story point in "Au Revoir Les Enfants" question

2 posts in this topic

Watched this the other day. Near the very of the film, the students are made to line up and then some names are called out and those people are told to go and stand against a wall. But nothing comes of it. What was the point? Did I miss something?

Great film, nonetheless!

They were the ones that were okay/ weren't Jewish. They were lining up the Catholics first to find the ones who were hiding. Also I agree it is a great film.
