Halloween horror quiz...the clues are alive!

Related image  The Halloween Horror Quiz!!  And this year, the clues are....ALIVE!

Below are clips from 25 horror films...and to make it easier (for me, not you) I picked my favorite horror films, made a little giphy of a scene...and you get to watch each...and name the movie.  I didn't use any obscure films, but tried to make the clues range from easy to kind of hard.   See how many you recognize...

(when you answer, please don't use quote-- repeating all the pics will make it sooooo long)

I can't watch those clips.  They're too scary.

I believe #10 may be from "The Tingler".

#18 is from "Psycho".

Great job, shutoo!!!  And we have some real horror movie fans playing!!

I'll try two of the Vincent Price movies left:

4) The curse or plague of the locusts in the hospital room in "The Abominable Dr. Phibes"

23) "Theater of Blood" with Vince and Diana Rigg "doing" it up as hair dressers

And interesting that the woman being fried by the hair dryer (Coral Brown) would be Mrs Price soon after this 🤔

So far, every guess has been correct!  Just 9 left..

Let's make it an even 8, as in "8, skate and donate!!"

5) "Creepshow" (1982), the episode "Something to Tide You Over" with Leslie Nielsen and his famous line, "I can hold my breath for a looong time!"

Down to Lucky 7

and the unholy # 13:

That looks like Myrtle Beach's own Anthony James (from "In the Heat of the Night") as the chauffeur

So I'll guess that's from "Burnt Offerings" (1976) with Oliver Reed

Impressive!  It was hard to find a snippet that wasn't too obvious (same with Psycho ..all so familiar)

Ah, I had a feeling you'd show up for horror films, hehe

All right..except #22...as much as I like Wiliam Castle, this isn't one of his..

Only 14 and 22 left...

That one is so familiar, too...

And #14 looks like it's from one of the Corman/Poe movies, but I don't know which one.

22...look at what's floating on the right

14...the dress is deceiving - looks very 'period costume' (which might make you think Poe) but actually the setting was contemporary  for it's release year

Great stuff.

I wondered if that was "Night or Curse of the Demon" with the slip of paper and the ancient runes.  It was just on TCM.

Well, we seem to be stuck on the last two....so...here's some more info:

14.  As you might have seen by my favorite choices, I'm fond of anthology films...this is one...here's another shot of the (dead) lady who's ring was being stolen in the first clip:       Animated GIF

22.  is a low budget B, for sure, but despite the stupid ending, I like it...if you've ever seen it, this little clip will give it away...                                               Animated GIF

Unfortunately these new clues don't help me but # 14 kinda looks like Bette Davis.

I thought the black/white pins would do it...The clips from Black Sabbath are from the final story in the trilogy.

Well, that wraps up the Halloween film quiz!  I think LonesomePolecat, with 7, got the most correct answers, and wins....a bag of candy wrappers!                                                     Related image

Thanks everyone for playing!
