Star, I love the show "You Bet Your Life". A guy from our neighborhood of Red Hook in Brooklyn was on the show and he was hilarious. We called him Italian Joe and he appeared at the side shows in Coney Island. On the Steve Allen show he pulled a bus with his ears and also bent coins with his teeth.

Vickeez, now I know where Madonna got her ideas.

What a fabulous picture, Joe. Do you suppose she was drinking the champagne right from the bottle? It looks like she was and that it wasn't improving her mood. I wonder if she was involved with Sinatra at this point. That would explain a lot.

Joe,

Thanks for the lovely picture of A Martinez! For fans of his, hope you are watching him on the A&E dramatic series, *Longmire*. He is quite good in the role of Jonas Nighthorse.

Mongo, it sounds so strange to read that Wilford Brimley and Claude Jarmen Jr. are the same age.

Actually he's not. Every source I have for him say's he was born in 1948. Making him 65 not 69, I still find 65 hard to believe too; as I still think of him from THE COWBOYS (1972)!

Oops! You are correct, Mockingbird. Martinez is actually 65, just old enough to collect Social Security. Thanks.

I've never seen Walter Brennan this young and clean-shaven before and never would have guessed it was him without that caption. From this photo he was rather handsome. This is why your thread is such a treasure for those of us who love Hollywood history. Thank you.
