Zig, like you, pox on the watermarks. Like dogs and fenceposts - that's the Trib's lasting "contribution". Sure glad they don't run The Louvre.
My contribution to an era gone by:
Most beautiful-! I'm glad you posted this photo. After my comment in THE LETTER thread, I was afraid you'd be posting something else... a face-down body, for example... that might look like mine.
Ollie, I hear ya! These are clearly rare photos that we may never get the chance to see "clearly" they seem to be selling tens of thousands of rare photos on e bay ....I guess with the hope of floating their papers for a few more months/years.....
Anyway, some pretty racy images of Gloria Stuart in her Universal days....
As usual, great photos Ziggy! Thanks for posting them!
The pictures are really good one and i liked it also.

Clara Bow. Taken either in late 1920's or early 1930's.
Ginger Rogers lingerie shoot from the early 1930's.
From the set of Sensation Hunters (1933)
From the set of A Little Girl With Big Ideas (1934)
WOW, is that really Molly Picon? Knowing her only from her 60's guest appearances on TV , I was shocked. She was a "looker" in 1934 ...as Joe E. Brown would say ....ZOWIEEEEEE!!
Katharine Hepburn lounges in a strange Insect Costume that her character wears to a costume party in Christopher Strong (1933).
Myrna Loy in a studio Halloween promotion picture from the 1920's. Back when she was cast in vamp roles.
Anna May Wong dressed in an outrageous exotic costume and performing a dance in the movie Piccadilly (1929)
Great photos revgen, wish I had seen them sooner!
Some nice photos of Anna May Wong....
error on my part...
Beautiful Lombard pix! :x
Glad you liked them Scottman!
A few Joan Blondell images....
Thanks Ziggy. I appreciate what you've done too. Those Lombard pictures are spectacular.
I have an higher-resolution version of one of the Joan Blondell pics you posted and another higher resolution picture from the same photo session.
Joan Blondell - 1930's posing next to strange art-deco structure.
Madge Bellamy holding a mannequin in her arms - 1928
Wow, love them Revgen! So hard to find new Joan Blondell photos on the web...
A few early Joan Crawford images I found...wonder if she was "stained' that dark, or was in the sun too long?
Yep. It's not just her skin. Her pupils too. They look real bright. It may be the camera and lighting setup.
Here's Wheeler and Woolsey impressing the chorus girls on the set of *Hips Hips Hooray (1934)*.
One of my favorite precodes, Hips, Hips, Hooray.
