Kyle -

The *Stagecoach* herald and pressbook pages are AMAZING! I love the detail that went into putting those together.

Then you top it off with that splendid *Meet Me In St. Louis* Hirschfeld drawing! Incredible.

Thank you.

Kyle, you sly devil you.

I had no idea this was here, and I almost missed out on all the Footlight Parade posters, the Elvgren girl (one of my favorite **** artists) and that amazing poster for Thou Shalt Not. I'm so excited!

Glad you pointed that out. The first time I saw it I just scratched my head. Pine and bawl some... Okay, so it took me a few months to get it...I'm just really slow.

Thanks!

Shoot! I'm disappointed to hear you've seen it before. I've been waiting a looong time to post that image/artwork. I should know better than try to spring anything "new" on you when it come to MMISL. It just won't happen. Do I need to explain "sparking"?

But at least it was a surprise to "JackFavell". I think it an amazing image.

That's what happens when you only receive email updates from the other Gallery. But I knew you'd find your way here sooner or later. I only wish I had something truly special planned for you. But I'm running out of days 'til Christmas! I'd plan a "pin-up" gallery but having _two_ "censored" galleries would be showing-off, wouldn't it?

You're welcome. You're always welcome.

Holy Crap, Chief!!!!

A girl comes back from a wonderful romantic trip to the City by the Bay only to discover amazing treats right here in her own backyard.

*Stagecoach* and *The Black Pirate* were heavenly (you know how I feel about Doug, Sr). And I can't wait to have more time to click through to discover more!

But to top it off with the Mad Men-era travel posters from TWA (after seeing the Mad Men advertising of Disneyland at the Disney Museum) was enough to make me swoon, twice.

After Mr C, Chief, you're the best!

Thanks for making my return so wonderful and for reminding me that there is no place like home!

Thanks, Kyle. Your Images are wonderful. My image link isn't as nice, but I thought the music fits your images... *A Fairy on the Christmas Tree*, by the BBC Dance Orchestra:

Great travel posters (love the Texas one with no Confederate flag - YEA!), window cards, more *Footlight Parade* , complete with Snoopy, Woodstock, and friends in top hats. And I've loved all the Christmas card images. This thread has been a lot of fun. Thanks, Kyle.

*This thread has been a lot of fun. Thanks, Kyle.* - patful

That's what it was made for. I had all this "other" ephemera on my hard-drive that needed to be spread around. And sharing them here for the holidays seemed the perfect place to do it. (It just felt selfish to keep Fox starlets painted by Vargas (WOW! Who Knew???) unseen for too long.)

I didn't get everything posted that I planned to post. And for some "long-timers", I didn't have much to offer. But it was the best I could do this year. I'm pleased it brought you and everyone else some pleasure.

Kyle, I know Christmas is over, but before the year ends, I wanted to thank you for this thread. Anyway, when I was a kid, Christmas season wasn't over until Jan. 6.

From the cute to the naughty, I enjoyed it immensely.

Some highlights for me - the Hays office posters (yes, I loved the detail in them), Christmas with

Barbara Stanwyck, the Mad magazine cover, Schwinn ad, all the publicity posters with the detailed

information (including rental costs), and especially the Stagecoach poster with the map on it. For

some reason, I always thought that they were traveling from east to west. Now I know the truth!

Hopefully, you can pick up and continue again next year, or start again.

*Happy New Year!*

Edited by: cinemafan on Dec 31, 2009 9:15 PM because I forgot to include the 60's concert posters.
