Great Lana photos, cinemafan!

I like that one in the middle. Lana's hair and the statue's hair are both moving in the same direction!

Thank you, Cinemaven. A big GRACIAS!

Imformovies2, I'm thinking you might like to see Ann Miller, that plucky Texas gal born in Chireno, a small town in East Texas, not far from Nacogdoches, the historic home of the Old Stone Fort near Stephen F. Austin State University. The queen of big hair who inspired the creation of pantyhose, 500 taps a minute, and the line "Where I spit, no grass grows ever" in one of her more delightful roles showcased in *The Opposite Sex*.

One of Ann's earlier publicity stills. Big.

Let's not 4-get that the luscious Paulette Goddard said that line first in "THE WOMEN." But Paulette couldn't tap 500 times a minute...

Love that shot of Ann.

Yes, Paulette was there first. But I like to think that Ann's character in *The Opposite Sex* was one that was closest to the way she was in "real life." And I know her most favorite role was in *Kiss Me Kate*, but I always preferred her role in the remake of *THE WOMEN*....

Cinemafan, Great Grables ! I also loved the Dick Shawn series! Wonderful inspiration!

I am worried though. If you drink Royal Crown Cola like Dottie does, what does

it do to your "Do"? It obviously makes it more poufy...

Countess, You are so on the mark with Patricia Morrison. Long, long, locks...

(Maybe she should be in a movie with Desi Arnaz and an RV...)

More Patricia Morison...

But one of my favorite classy gals is Miss Lena Horne. She had such a lovely voice

in song and in conversation. She could read the names from a phone book

and mesmerize the audience....a lovely lady....

SueSue,

Thanks for the Dorothy Provine tribute. Some fun photos (including The Roaring Twenties ) that brought back memories. I really liked her as a kid-especially in That Darn Cat. Thanks.
