A few disappointing releases from Sony Choice Collection back on 7/2 in that they're ALL double-dips...

Ladies of Leisure (1930) Ralph Graves, Barbara Stanwyck, Marie Prevost

(also included on TCM's Frank Capra The Early Collection)

More Than a Secretary (1936) Jean Arthur, George Brent

(this one was also part of TCM's Jean Arthur Comedy Collection)

Miss Sadie Thompson (1953) Rita Hayworth, Jose Ferrer, Aldo Ray

Salome (1953) Rita Hayworth, Stewart Granger, Charles Laughton

(both part of The Films of Rita Hayworth set)

Little effort went into adding these to their MOD program.

Air Hostess finally shipped. It was worth the wait for such a beautiful print. Have to look pretty hard to find any minor flaws. Overall very nice quality especially for an 80 year old film - clear and sharp, good contrast, mildly grainy, some small specks not real noticeable. I only previewed the first half hour or so as I've seen the film recently - but not looking like this.

Nice job Sony/Columbia!

NEW TITLES

THE WHISTLER (1944)

THE POWER OF THE WHISTLER (1945)

Based on the popular radio program, Richard Dix stars

Surprised these were not previously available. Taking them a long time to get around to some of the more obvious titles.

NEW TITLES:

2 MORE WHISTLER FILMS STARRING RICHARD DIX

Thanks for the update, Edge. Are these being released as a boxed set or in separate volumes?

Nice idea a box set but Sony is releasing these as single discs. WB would have done the box.
