How would you define a cult movie? I looked at the list of movies and some look just like standard Hollywood movies.

I define a cult movie as one that didn't do well at the box office at the time of the release but is fairly well known by a select, but limited, audiance, today.

But of course what I define as a cult film someone else might just define as a bad film.

Every one of those films stretches the term "cult".

Yet there's no mention of 'Road Games'.

(remember these are TCM picks, not mine)

Well then, how about treating us to YOUR "picks"?

I can see the schedule just fine by myself, why bother to create a list here?

What would be really helpful is if you or anyone else familiar with these "cult" films would include your synopsis, your recommendation, your description of these movies. That would help me decide if I actually want to see any of these.

I'd recommend Queen of Outer Space:

I don't exactly know if I would call Sleeper, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Road to Bali cult films.

No way. And yet TCM did call them that. I think us and them have slightly different ideas about what's "cult".

I can't find any air date for The Group. Did it get taken down? Or was it ever scheduled at all?

Cult film or not, I'd like to see How to Murder Your Wife, but it's on at a most unwatchable hour.
