*PEEPING TOM (1960)*

*Michael Powell Production w/ Moira Shearer*

*Full movie (Criterion copy!)*

*The good point about this upload; it’s a good Criterion print*

*The bad: you will have to log in with your youtube name and password. The poster is quite a little businessman; he punctuated the upload with a number of commercials 30 seconds long, which can be skipped. More like AMC than TCM!*

*Today's load features 20 films 1933-1961, all complete!*

*It's quite a potpourri of delinquents, dopers, werewolves, dragsters, Siamese twins, nudists, beatniks, car thieves, peeping toms, Fidelistas, teenagers, Ubangis, midgets, underage girls, celebrities gone wrong and rock and rollers!! A solid cross section of Americana, served up with some great vintage music!*

*This should hold the lot of you until next week and should give us a lot of images and themes to ponder over. I welcome comment and discussion at:*

Gotta tell ya, I did enjoy Diary of a Nudist, though I found myself doing MST3K - style comments throughout:

>He's shocked, SHOCKED! to see nudists! And he will be watching as long as necessary to make sure they're not dressed.

>

>No, he's been there before, he just brought his gun because it's the Florida custom to go exploring for nudists with a hunting gun.

>...Hunting for fun. The shells are still in the car.

>

>I never thought I would see women going anywhere for the weekend just carrying a handbag!

>

>Wow. Even the guys are date-worthy.

>

>You can tell Stacy's a reporter; she drives a VW beetle.

>

>The volleyball teams are the skins and the shorts!

>

>Why does she wear a robe to write her story? Why does she get dressed when she's indoors?

h5. There are so many more possibilities...

I am ready to illustrate the previous film link posts with a retro edit consisting of film poster art. It will certainly enliven the presentation as well as hopefully stimulate more interest in watching the films. I fear that this may not be a walk in the park, technically speaking, as these posts are formatted with a lot of colored font and such. Bear with me, but I think the results will be worthwhile.

The poster art has already been included on the *VINTAGE EXPLOITATION FILMS-DISCUSSION* thread. (I needed the dry run practice with posting pictures, as I haven't done that around here in years!)

PS: Too bad, I can't edit my previous entries for the inclusion of artwork. Apprently there is a time limitation to after editing. I'll just have to add the artwork for future entries on an ongoing basis.
