Several weeks ago I came across a channel showing the Shaggy DA, Blackbeard's Ghost, Flubber, etc. Was an unexpected treat despite the commercials and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed them still. Suzanne Pleshette, Dean Jones and my favorite Disney actor, Keenan Wynn - love them.

Yes, it was BYU. I saved it to my favorites thinking I would go to it often, but they haven't shown anything else that catches my attention. Reminds me of a favorite, That Darn Cat...I'd like to own that.

BYU TV is good if you like BYU sports or movies about young Mormons on their mission. Once in a while they'll show a movie called Little Secrets which is a very good kids movie.

"Despicable Me" (2010) is playing at present on ABCF. Even though its not a Disney film, it premiered on The Disney Channel December 31st. I recorded it back then and edited the few commercials out.

I perfer Disney far as recording goes because the way they gives you a hint a commercial is coming up allowing one to hit the pause button before and after.

ABCF has FAR more commercial interruptions and printed stuff on the screen, Disney only had their logo.

Out of the entire year of 2012, "Despicable Me' and "This is Cinerama" are the favorite movies I acquired for my collection. :)

Question: Those yellow charactors are called Gru's Minions but *what* are they??

*Gru's Minions* are small, yellow, pill-shaped humanized creatures that have one or two eyes, and one of the most notable characters in the film. A rambunctious bunch of simple-minded beings, The Minions are a similar size and shape, but have unique features to tell them apart, such as height, number of eyes, or roundness. They choose to express themselves through actions, not words, their "language" is fairly basic, they speak in strange jabber, except for the odd human word every now and again and occasional Spanish words like "Para tú", they don't speak. At least, not in words human's can understand. Their existance as made beings is noted by the final schematics in the little girls' room. It is however unknown how they came to be and who made them. One of the shorts in the DVD suggests they are made from a single strand of mutated DNA. The minions wear metal goggles accommodating to how many eyes they have, blue overalls with Gru's symbol on the front, and black gloves. Sometimes, they play with [Agnes|http://despicableme.wikia.com/wiki/Anges|Anges], [Edith|http://despicableme.wikia.com/wiki/Edith|Edith], and [Margo|http://despicableme.wikia.com/wiki/Margo|Margo], as in the toilet paper fight scene.

The BYU Network has a Disney movie on Sunday nights. "In Search of the Castaways" was on last night. Quite a cast - Hayley Mills, Maurice Chevalier, George Sanders AND Michael Anderson Jr.

I think BYU carries a Disney movie every Sunday night. Last night I watched "In Search of the Castaways" with Hayley Mills, Maurice Chevalier, George Sanders, Wilfrid Hyde-White and (sigh, what a smile) Michael Anderson, Jr.

I've noticed BYUTV showing lots of the old Disney live action movies like Darby O'Gill, Those Callaways, The Ugly Dachsund, Blackbeard's Ghost and many others I've never even heard of but was happy to see.

I love love love Disney, grew up with it (90s baby) but I think that although Disney's Cinderella is fun and charming, they should play the Rogers and Hammerstein one with Leslie Ann Warren (or Julie Andrews) because those songs are magical.

I've never seen the Leslie Ann Warren version of Cinderella so I wouldn't mind if ABC Family showed it. (I don't know if TCM has the rights?)

BYU TV has a high number on my channel listing, 390, (TCM by comparisson is 68.) It's up their with the religous channels. They have a lot of religous programming but it's not WORD or EWTN.
