Unfortunately they are not. I'd love a whole day of his films for Summer Under the Stars. What a unique actor. He's exciting to watch in DE SADE and in BLACK CHRISTMAS. And he has a great death scene in THE HAUNTING OF JULIA, a British flick he made in the 70s with Mia Farrow.

He made another flick with her, "Full Circle"?

Have you seen it?

He was good in 2001. His movie about the Marquis DeSade sounds very interesting but according to Rotten Tomatoes it has a 0% score.

That's it Ray. FULL CIRCLE and THE HAUNTING OF JULIA are the same film...I guess one was the European title and one was the North American release title.

IN A LONELY PLACE and THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL are both great films....but I think she was much better in LONELY PLACE.

She earned an Oscar for THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL with very little screen time. She was a remarkable actress.

Anyone know how much validity there is to the rumor that she began a sexual relationship with Anthony Ray, whom she later married, who was the son of her then-husband Nicholas Ray from a previous marriage, when he was 13 and she was in her late 20s? Is this subject brought up at all in the movie for which everyone is saying Annette Benning is going to get an Oscar nomination for playing Grahame? Or does that movie gloss it over?

I'm generally a big lefty, but I can't help but think if a male actor had a sexual relationship with his 13-year-old stepdaughter from his wife's previous marriage, TCM would never show any of that actor's films again. Even if he ended up marrying her when it became legal.

TCM still airs the films of other stars who were involved in scandals-- like Fatty Arbuckle, Woody Allen and Robert Blake. Also, we have to keep in mind how unfair it would be to the hundreds of other people who worked on the same film if their movie could no longer be shown because the star did something scandalous.

That's a good point about all the other people it takes to make a movie, but I bet it's going to be tough to see a Kevin Spacey movie airing anywhere for quite a while.

Love Kevin Spacey's acting. He made a lot of great films. They should be seen.

Damning someone else and depriving myself of the chance to see films that have plenty of great value in them? No way. Not sure what's more ridiculous-- people acting as if they are right to practice such militant censorship, or those same people getting upset when the rest of us don't subscribe to it. At any rate it doesn't affect me personally and I would NEVER let someone tell me I can't watch a film with Kevin Spacey or Gloria Grahame in it. If they become more difficult to find, I will just work even harder to locate them and make sure I have copies (and back-up copies) until the irrational political correctness storm blows over.

We've talked about Gloria in BAD on other threads and whether or not she was Oscar-worthy in that role.  She was also in THE BIG HEAT and SUDDEN FEAR that same year so to be in three fine films in one year (and be excellent in all of them) was maybe one reason she was recognized by the Academy.

I have no problem watching a Kevin Spacey film even if I find his off screen behavior deplorable.

If we limit ourselves to only watch films with the actors and actresses with squeaky clean pasts and sinless lives, we'd be out of luck because then there would hardly be any film to watch.

It is possible to appreciate an actor/actresses' body of work while still think they're a total jerk in real life.
