James Cagney and Margaret Wycherly have one of the screen's more notorious mother-son relationships in "White Heat".

I watched both of these, perhaps for the first time, start to finish. Gave them my full attention. Very enjoyable. With The Glass Bottom Boat, I couldn't help but think the Director could have been Blake Edwards.

Taylor and Day made another rom-com a year earlier-- 20th Century Fox's DO NOT DISTURB, which I like better. It's not as silly as THE GLASS BOTTOM BOAT.
