So, with 24 hours of Tarzan, I will be watching some other channel. Then, the theme seems to continue. It makes zero sense to me, to create themes this way. I would do it different, but TCM does ask me. HA! Themes could easily be created by movie type, such as musical or thriller. Or by decade. Even a courtroom drama theme would not have to dwell on a single actor.

Well they do show films by genre and by star. This is just a way for them to vary the schedules. I think it's worse when they drag these movie series out for months at a time. For example, they showed all eight million Bowery Boys films, one or two every Saturday morning. It took almost ten months to get through the entire batch.

Not sure how it all happened. TV is the same way. Some channels show episodes from the same show for hours at a time. If variety is the spice of life, TCM is not living. I'm sure there is an Auntie Mame quote I could also use here. TCM knows what movies they have at any given time for use. I'm sure there are way more creative ways to put themes together without being lazy and boring.

Barker didn't seem to get much screen time in the Tarzans I've seen. There are long stretches when he's off-screen.

Probably because the films were really produced to show off Howard Hughes' latest girlfriend(s).
