I was glad to see your thread moved out of the Trump infested territory. As for keeping it going? Not for me. I respect the time you put into this site each day. If anyone really wants to keep this going, they could just start posting, right?

"TCM and Other Sources for Classic Film" will become even more useful, without FilmStruck. When Criterion Channel comes TB, you will probably want to concentrate more on that. I don't think any of us should take advantage of your generosity. I still wonder when you eat and sleep.

Thanks. That's funny and very kind of you to say. Do we know when the Criterion Channel will begin?

Criterion is saying Spring 2019. I am guessing they have more control over when to launch with their own product. It sounds like Criterion and Warner are going scratch each other's back. I get to use your movies and you get to use mine. So, the bugaboo could be Criterion getting permission/rights from Warner first. Your guess is as good as mine, except I believe you know this industry much better and can speculate through knowledge and past experience.

Always wondered.  Obviously you put some time and effort into this, but if anyone is interested in schedules, why not just go to top of screen and click on Schedules?

It was just a project to preserve the schedules on this thread. If you go to the top of the screen and click on Schedules, you won't be able to go back and look at prior months. In this thread, you can go back several years.

A stack of Elvis movies. Just like earlier with Doris Day, a theme that doesn't have an obvious reason.

I've seen To Be Announced ... Almost as exciting as Koyaanisqatsi, which is like playing Black Sabbath at 78.

I won't be able to list the TBA titles until they actually air tomorrow evening. I will revise the post at that time.

8:00 p.m. To Be Announced...

Jailhouse Rock is my favorite. My favorite of all of the Elvis movies.

(My father is a HUGE Elvis fan and he didn't mind most of his movies.)

It was the one which truly captured his desire to be a serious actor.

I always thought that film was a 'roman a clef' (story with some real life events but names and places changed).

Trivia fact: Back in the early 70s when the third 'A Star is Born' was going to be made, Elvis REALLY was serious about playing the male lead and sadly it got stripped from him.
