I don't know what movie it's from, or whether it's already been quoted in this thread. But I have a note stuck to my computer that says, "She has that "man wanted" look in her eyes" that I'm sure must come from a movie.

Serenity (2005)

Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then . . . explode.

From Comrade X (1940) Hedy Lamarr and Clark Gable

Mac Thompson: I, uh, I got a confession to make. I lied to you.

Theodora: What about?

Mac Thompson: The USA. It ain't a spiritual desert. Say, it's pie a la mode, two-pants suits and the home of the brave, Pike's Peak and Coney Island.

Serenity (2005) has many wonderful lines:

Mr. Universe: You guys always bring me the very best violence.

Mal: Doctor, I'm takin' your sister under my protection here. If anything happens to her, anything at all, I swear to you, I will get very choked up. Honestly, there could be tears.

Dr. Tam to his sister: If there's any fighting, drop to the floor or run away. It's okay to leave them to die.

Mal: It's of interest to me how much you seem to know about that world.

Shepherd Book: I wasn't born a shepherd, Mal.

Mal: You have to tell me about that sometime.

Shepherd Book: No, I don't.

Zoë: In the time of war, we would never have left a man behind.

Mal: Maybe that's why we lost.

Heh I just found a note scribbled when watching TV:

"I just lost a duel of wits with an unarmed opponent"

Any one know what this is from? Sounds like something John Barrymore or Errol Flynn would say.

It does sound like something Barrymore or Flynn would say!

I googled the phrase, and this was the only search option:

Murray after having a conversation with Ted Baxter on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, "I just lost a duel of wits with an unarmed opponent."
