Thanks Larry for the details about BLANKMAN. I'd forgotten all about STRANGE BREW. Rick Moranis was in it, I think. I wonder if TCM's ever played it.

The recentish comedy GOOD BURGER was based on a series of comedy sketches on the Nickelodeon show "ALL THAT" from the 90s

If the Simpsons count, I'm adding the SPONGEBOB MOVIE and  the Muppets that originated on TV in both "THE MUPPET SHOW" and "SESAME STREET" which led to MUPPET MOVIE, GREAT MUPPET CAPER, FOLLOW THAT BIRD, etc
