Years ago on TCM, during Black History Month, I saw an old all Black short which was about 10 or 15 minutes long, and everybody in it was "Peckin" (the chicken neck dance move from the 1930s and 40s).  Anybody know the name and year of this short, and any information which would allow me to locate it?  Thanks!

That is a toughie, because there are probably a couple shorties that would fit that description. Being TCM, it would most likely be a Vitaphone-Warner short of the thirties... maybe something with the Nicholas Brothers? Or something like BARBER SHOP BLUES with Claude Hopkins? Well... probably not that one, although there is some dancing. Then again, it could also be a "Soundie", one of those New York filmed 1940-46 musical shorts made especially for the juke-boxes that were the fore-runners of MTV.
