Top 100 SF Films

6 posts in this topic

Here is my list of the top 100 science fiction films. It's a list I've had for a long time, and I have updated with newer releases as worthy titles are released. These are the 100 films I feel best represent the genre as a whole and/or have had some kind of lasting effect on the genre. Unlike with the sister list of 100 top horror films, I actually like all of these. These are listed in chronological order. 1997 and 1998 seem to have been very good years - for me, anyway. You've got 5 of my favorites in:

75) Contact (1997)

76) The Fifth Element (1997)

77) Gattaca (1997)

78) Starship Troopers (1997)

79) Dark City (1998)

Gattaca is the sleeper here
