Trump's Biggest Whoppers

15,676 posts in this topic

a guy with a sense of humor. :D

I think, or I hope that you are missing the point.  The offensive bit is not that he was ridiculous enough to pose as his own pr person, it was what he was gossiping about.  Very hurtful to the woman he was supposed to be engaged to.  Stuff that the public really had no right to know.  And he fed it to them.

Another whopper was when Trump was interviewed by Jake Tapper and pretended he did not know who David Duke was or what his organization stood for.  Remember the K K K endorsement of Trump which he did not shed before the upcoming primary?  That should have disqualified the Donald right there and then.

Later he pretended that he did not hear the question properly which was a blatant lie as he himself repeated Tapper's question before saying he didn't know anything about the K K K.

Earth to Donald!  Are you seriously running for President?

so everybody's supposed to be aghast over donny's 25 year-old fone fibs? what about democrat voters watching their party moving torwards the nomination of a person they themselves must know is not honest?

just today a feature story on my home page, what sanders has been sayin' all along that HE would have a better shot against trump than a compromised hillary.

but the likes of debbie wassername schultz, jennifer granholm and elizabeth 'pocohontas' warren will see to it that it's handed to hilllary.

the fact that sanders is still winning primaries doan tell the aforementioned three stoogesses that their gal must be a weak candidate?

maybe when donny cracks hillary's iron girdle in november they will get it.

Does anyone think any of this will make any difference to people like Nipkow or Jake?

They don't care that he's a liar.

They don't care that he's a sexist.

They don't care if he's a hypocrite.

They don't care if he's a tax dodger or has mob ties or kicked out people using imminent domain.

They don't care that he's declared bankruptcy multiple times.

They don't care that most of his businesses have been con jobs (Trump U) or failures (Trump steaks).

They don't care if he appeals to or associates with open racists.

They don't care that he says he's going to ban Muslims, and then says he won't.

They don't care that he dismisses a whole race/culture as predominantly rapists and criminals.

They don't care if he openly mocks the disabled.

They don't care if he openly mocks military veterans and war heroes.

They don't care that he rails against the loss of manufacturing in the US, but promises to give tax breaks to the people who took the jobs away.

They don't care that one day he's pro-choice, and the next pro-life, and then he's pro-choice again.

They don't care that he frequently gets into Twitter wars like a hormonal middle-schooler.

They don't care that he says he's anti-Republican establishment, and then he gets into bed with every establishment Republican.

about that last one, he has to. if they cooperate than donny will do them the great honor of letting them help him get the WH. :)

but let me also say this, all of what you list may be so but...

has it really bothered the democrats that their standard-bearer told the american people that if they wanted to keep their doctor then they would be able to???

does it bother them that their standard-bearer told the american people that if they wanted to keep their healthcare plans, they would be able to???

their standard-bearer also made quite an issue (on his own personal initiative) of longstanding conditions in the VA system and told EVERYONE that HE (drum roll please) was finally gonna fix it.

he DID NOT...after he said he WOULD.

LawrenceA, are these matters to be ignored or minimized? I do not think so. trump is a businessman. he denies it not. is he francis of assisi? plainly not.

but just perhaps enough people have figured out that maybe the only way to break the hold of lifelong beltway BSers like hillary clinton over the lives and livelihoods of the common american is to use a rock! :D

donny is that rock and their butts are glass. :)

You see everything through your conservative prism. Facts about Trump's character and dubious history, such as Lawrence presented, which disturb and frighten other people about him, are flippantly brushed off by you. Instead of honestly addressing them, you predictably launch into an attack on Hillary or Obama instead.

You and Jake and the other Trump followers/worshippers are in such awe of his bragging self promoting personality that you have convinced yourselves, no matter what evidence is produced to the contrary, that this man who has no sophisticated comprehension of world affairs, talking of letting more nations have the nuclear bomb, for instance, will somehow, magically, "fix everything."

It must be very comforting for you to settle back and believe this. The problem is you are living in a fantasy world by doing so. The far bigger problem for the rest of us is that people like you can vote.

barack obama and those in his state department are very learned people and yet the middle east today is a violent destabilized mess.

proving that...

academic knowledge does not always translate into proficient execution. the last eight years has plainly demonstrated this...

and hillary clinton promises to continued this abject failure of arrogant intellectualism run amuck.

Yes, I agree.

Just like my  best friend having to watch while her religion is blamed for everything.  So happy to be living in Canada. So happy she is living in Canada.

Canada - the country with a multi-racial government.

Canada with a Prime Minister who  decided our government should look like it is the 21st century and it does.

Nip--

The Mess you have in the Middle East today was caused by

Dick Halliburton Cheney

Sorry Princess, but as that little plaque on Harry Truman's desk in the Oval Office here said...

truman_buck_stops.jpg

And it doesn't say "The Buck Stops at the VICE President's Desk", now does IT?!

Meaning of course that ULTIMATELY because W wasn't smart enough OR "learned enough" to NOT be taken in by his VP's "oh so astute" foreign policy strategies, this whole mess REALLY lay at W's feet and NOT Cheney's.

(...and thus a PRIME example and reasonable counterpoint to ND's little thought that "learned people always muck things up" is, well, a thought that is, as ND himself often so colloquially puts such things, "full of HS"!!!!)

Yeah, good point, ND.

They really should be MORE "obsessed" with your hero/savior's "treatment" of the English Language INSTEAD!!!

LOL

(...although in YOUR case, I know that kind'a thing "doan" be on your radar EITHER, huh!) ;)

Well, Once Upon a Time, Mama Bush told Papa Bush to send Crazy Uncle Dick Cheney to help Baby Bush in the White House because Baby Bush was so stupid he couldn't find the door to the Oval Office--and if he found it he probably wouldn't even know how to open it.

Well, when crazy Uncle Dick got to 1600 - - he went straight to the Oval Office installing himself in there and locked the door; he wouldn't let Baby Bush in.

Then the crazy uncle sent Baby Bush to the vice president's office in Blair House and made him stay there for 8 years.

So that's how long it took to get Halliburton installed in the Mideast.

And that was no fairy tale!

Not bad Princess, however when it comes to analogizing W's administration to a fairy tale, I think I'll stick with the one that some bright individual out there coined years ago and which used a certain L. Frank Baum-penned fairly tale as its subject matter. ;)

Uh-huh, THIS one....

(...although I'll grant you the one with the ax in hand DID seem to exert more control within the above group than history would show was either prudent or wise)

smerconish said that incidents sited like this will never change the opinions of the Republican base. They're too brain dead committed to their man. But it will give others yet another reason to pause to wonder about a 44 year old man (not some teenager) who indulged in stunts like this, admitted it at the time but NOW denies it (even though the voice, bad recording that it my be, clearly sounds like Trump's). Nor can Trump headquarters produce these two mysterious "spokespersons" or provide any information about them to prove that it wasn't the Donald.

Again, it goes to the issue of Trump's character, especially the fact that he denies it was him today. Yet ANOTHER lie. This is a man who simply can't be trusted.

He admitted that he had posed as one of the names in some court deposition years ago.  And one of the names, John "Barron" is also the name he gave to one of his sons.

The yucky part is that he used the PR stunt to brag about his sexual prowess and to drop the bombshell that he was considering breaking off his engagement.

that's why donny is so special! :D as far as his not admitting to being such a funster on the fone 25 years ago, the reason is obvious.

it doan make any sense to donny in 2016 to validate some good clean fun he indulged in a quarter of a century ago.

I mean come on. this kinda media silliness only has the effect almost unbelievably of boosting donny because whenever the stupid msm has people talking about donny, it only further legitimizes him...and they haven't figured that out yet?

donny has. maybe he did leak the tape on himself to get the media doing what it seems to like best...talking about him.

whatta card! good ol' donny.

He probably did leak it himself.  Better to get it out now than a month before the election.

This 'fun' doesn't excuse the slime-ball attitude he had toward women in the PR revelations.

Let's play pretend--

Donald Trump gets elected to the presidency of the United States.

Nicolas Sarkozy gets reelected to the presidency of the French Republic.

Both presidents go into a summit to discuss important international relations.

Sarkozy questions Trump about being disrespectful to Carla Bruni, who is now Madame Sarkozy.

Trump executes his usual trick play.

Sarkozy is not impressed and declares war on the United States.

Now Trump would be obliged to apologize or bomb the Eiffel Tower.

What would Trump do?

In unison: Bomb the Eiffel Tower.

I wouldn't exactly be thrilled about it, but with all my photographs of the Eiffel Tower I could make a little cash.

FYI

"Donald Trump dishonestly claimed he has “nothing to do with” his longtime ally Roger Stone and feigned ignorance of Stone’s anti-Clinton book The Clintons’ War on Women. But Trump and Stone have an ongoing, decades-long association, and Trump previously promoted and praised Stone’s book....

Stone and Trump are longtime friends and associates. Stone said he’s known Trump for “almost 40 years” and that the business magnate “went to my wedding when I got married. I went to two out of three of his weddings.” Stone also spent many years working as a Trump lobbyist, chaired his 2000 presidential exploratory committee, and worked for Trump’s campaign last year. Stone also introduced and recommended top Trump campaign aide Paul Manafort to the candidate. Stone himself said he talks to Trump on a “semi-regular basis.”

After Stone was banned from CNN for making disgusting remarks, Trump tweeted: “#RogerStone was just banned by @CNN - their loss! Tough, loyal guy.”
